Running your own website is not difficult these days. We will be happy to guide you through the entire process, explain the individual parts and help you choose a suitable solution. Below we describe the four essential parts/tools needed to run your own website.
Domain
A domain is the address of your website on the Internet, for example maple-webdesign.cz. It is your website's unique identifier, and it is important to choose a domain that will be as simple and memorable as possible for visitors, as well as match the content of your website as much as possible. Domains are usually registered with domain registrars and require an annual maintenance fee in the lower hundreds of crowns (varies by provider and domain type). For example, the normal price of renting any .cz domain is around 300 CZK per year.
Web hosting
Hosting is a service that allows you to store and make your website available on the Internet. Web hosting provides a server where all the files and data of your website will be stored. There are different kinds of hosting services, including shared hosting, VPS (Virtual Private Server) and cloud hosting. The price for web hosting varies according to the level of services provided (disk space, performance, supported services, etc.) and ranges from several hundred to several thousand crowns per year. You usually order the domain and hosting together from one provider, and for a regular website you can expect a price of around 1,000 CZK per year for both.
Content Management System
Unless you are a professional programmer, a content management system (CMS) is almost an essential part of your website. A CMS is software designed to easily create, edit, and manage content on a website without having to write basic website code. We develop our own reaction system for our customers, which then enables easy adaptation and expansion to your current needs.
Appearance template
A template or theme is the design framework for your website. This is what determines how your website looks. Where the header, footer or navigation will be, how the individual page elements will look and how the website will adapt to different devices (computer, tablet, mobile). There are different appearance templates for different editorial systems. For our projects, we have prepared several universal templates that can be freely customized (colors, fonts, images, ...) and used for your project, or it is possible to prepare and create a new graphic template directly to measure.
The price of each website always depends on your specific requirements and agreement. Smaller presentation websites can roughly range between 7,000 and 15,000 CZK, e-shops or database applications between 20,000 and 50,000.
